I'm not sure if this is a Valentine, Christmas or Easter postcard. The writing on front is in German and I don't see Pfingsten (Easter) or Weinachten (Christmas) in the writing anywhere so I think this might be a Valentines Day card.
In the Undivided Back (UDB) era of postcards (1890s-1900s) you were not allowed to write anything but the address on the back of the card. Any greeting had to be written on the front.
